Unplug, unwind, and bring back the charm of a classic print experience with Knit Nation. Delivered straight to your door, this beautifully curated newspaper is packed with inspiration, creativity, and, of course, knitting!

This is Issue 1, the very first edition of Knit Nation—a true collector’s piece for knit lovers everywhere! Featuring stunning patterns, engaging articles, fun games, and even an exclusive mystery series, this is your chance to own the issue that started it all.

WHAT’S INSIDE ISSUE 1?

  • Tired of projects that fall apart halfway through? Page 4’s striped mitten pattern doesn’t just teach colorwork—it walks you through jogless stripes and thumb gussets, step by step. No frustration, just function.

  • Still afraid to try cables? On page 5, you’ll learn the exact 4-row repeat that makes cabled fingerless gloves look advanced—even if you’re still secretly Googling what “C4L” means.

  • Can’t finish a sweater that actually fits?  Grandma Ange lays down the truth about why your gauge lies—and the one swatching tip that could save you 40 hours of regret (page 14).

  • Afraid of frogging? Krista Ann shows you how to fix big mistakes with confidence—and explains why fearless knitters make faster progress than perfectionists (page 17).

  • Wish you understood knitting’s deeper legacy? The 1527 Knitting Guild story (page 15) reveals how men monopolized knitting, banned women from the trade—and why it still matters today.

  • Your “quick knit” turned into a 6-month slog. Page 9’s beginner-friendly baby blanket works up in clean, rhythmic stripes that soothe your brain and actually get done.

  • Sick of playing Yarn Chicken—and losing? Page 22 shows you how to calculate yarn needs, knit with confidence, and finally stop sweating every bind-off row.

  • Frustrated by tangled skeins, fussy bags, and bulky tools? The gear guide on page 2 gives you 3 beautifully designed tools that actually work—and make you feel like the pro you already are.

  • Sick of reading about knitting and never doing it? Page 18’s “mess up on purpose” mindset will finally free you from analysis paralysis—and get your needles moving again.

  • You want to knit a sweater—but every pattern looks terrifying. The Boyfriend Sweater on page 12 ditches the drama. No shaping charts. No sleeve confusion. Just straight-up structure, clear instructions, and a finish you’ll actually wear (and be proud of).

  • Tried colorwork once and swore you’d never do it again? The Intarsia Pillow on page 8 teaches you how to lock your yarn, carry your floats, and avoid holes—with a bold, graphic design that looks far harder than it is.

  • Love the look of cables but scared to try them? The Cabled Fingerless Gloves on page 5 walk you through each twist with easy rows, clear repeats, and zero pressure. No charts. No panic. Just cozy hands and visible results.

  • Think knitting for summer means packing up your yarn? The Heart Cowl on page 21 proves otherwise. Lightweight, breathable, and full of charm, it lets you practice stripes and duplicate stitch without sweating through wool season.

Really enjoying my gardening magazine and looking forward to the next issue. Fall is my favorite time of year and this issue has reinforced and confirmed things that l already do and has given me some new ideas. I love to plant and watch things grow. I grew up on a farm so gardening is in my DNA.

I love it being a print paper that I can carry with me to read. I haven’t finished the puzzles yet. It has inspired me to get back to thinking about our winter garden. It’s still really hot here in Texas but this has gotten me planning for Fall.

I love the depth of the articles. I share the newspapers with my 90 year old Mother and she loves it too. I appreciate that it's something I can read that's not on a screen. I can tell already I'll be saving them to refer to throughout the gardening season.

It was a wonderful birthday present for my wife! She loved it!

Knit Nation • Issue 4

I’m learning so much. And I really appreciate that. It’s a paper newsletter and not electronic. I’m an older gardener and I like reading and highlighting what I want to remember.

I have only received one issue but I am really looking forward to the second issue which is on the way. I haven't made any of the patterns yet, but I know that I will. It's a great paper. I like the games as well as the patterns. Glad I subscribed.

I love the magazine. I’m also love the crochet nation and the knitting nation. I think they are all three fantastic. I have every copy of the crochet and knitting nation, and I would like to have a complete copy from number one through the current month for the history nation if it’s possible, let me know and I will pay you for them. I think they are fantastic. Keep up the great work.

History Nation • Issue 1

I like history so I am enjoying the history paper immensely. I like the information for the different years from the very, very early years to more modern history. I liked reading about the Roman Empire and could see similarities between then and what is happening in the country now. History does repeat itself and this country should learn from that history.

I'm one who loves physical versions of my crochet patterns and never really know what to do next. When I got my first crochet nation newspaper in the mail I really fell in love. Not only are there puzzles for me to do inbetween my crochet breaks but the different articles really catch my attention. I don't know many other people who crochet so the tips/advice that are in the different articles really help me out too. I'm looking forward to my next one and can't wait to see what it all includes. I'm definitely going to have a newspaper collection because I can't see myself ever getting rid of these.

It’s really nice to have a knit newspaper, and more than just patterns but stories, knitting history and fun facts, added extras that magazines don’t always cover and some I’ve not seen at all in knit magazines. I enjoy the grandma stories. They also have kint crosswords for those who enjoy. Good patterns from known designers. I recommend to at least get one to see what it’s like, you may get hooked.

This newspaper is so informative, thoughtfully put together, and fun to read!

Gardening Nation • Issue 4

I like the patterns in the newsletter, but I wish there were more patterns for household things like dishcloths, decorative towels, and toys for children. I do like the comic and mystery story a lot.

Crochet Nation • Issue 18

This issue had gotten lost in the mail and when I reached out about it, I was promptly sent another one. I really enjoy this publication and learn something new with each issue.

Knit Nation • Issue 15

It's a great resource and many of the articles serve as solid reminders of what it's time to do. I'm a moderately experienced gardener, not a novice but by no means an expert, and found most of the info gauged pretty appropriately for me. It's a beautiful publication, with color throughout. Good writing and terrific editing. I worked in newspapers for 25 years and have some idea of the work and talent behind the publication, and I'm impressed and delighted!

I really enjoy receiving the “Crochet Nation” newspaper. I enjoy the articles, horoscopes and games. But mostly, I enjoy the many patterns included in the paper. The instructions are great and describe how to work each stich required in the pattern. I look forward to receiving my paper every month! Glenda Fritz, La Plata, MD
