The day your
Gardening Nation Gazette arrives.

Once a month, something lands in your mailbox that has nothing to do with bills, catalogues, or anything that needs a signature.

A real newspaper. Printed on real paper. Made carefully, deliberately, with genuine love — for gardeners like you.

"You take it outside. The chair in the garden. A cup of something warm. For the next little while, there are no notifications. No autoplay. No algorithm. No bad news. No politics.

Just 24 beautiful printed pages filled with gardening articles, practical advice, growing guides, and stories written by people who actually garden."

That's the Gardening Nation Gazette. Every month. In your mailbox.

✦   From a Gardening National   ✦

"So far I am loving the paper. It feels so nice to sit with my cup of tea in the morning looking at a paper of things I love, plants and gardens and news about them. Then I get to make notes for things to try in my own gardening adventure."

Sound familiar?

You love gardening.
The internet has made it
harder to enjoy.

You open your phone to find out why your tomatoes aren't producing. Forty minutes later you've watched six YouTube videos with conflicting advice, read three articles written by people who have clearly never grown a tomato, pinned fourteen "inspiring" gardens that would require a full-time groundskeeper to maintain — and you still don't know what's wrong with your tomatoes.

47
Tabs open. Same problem in the garden. The internet has more gardening content than you could read in ten lifetimes. Most of it isn't for you. It's for people with unlimited budgets, perfect soil, and no deer.

The advice doesn't mention your zone. The gardens in the photos are nothing like your third of an acre. The plants they recommend aren't available anywhere near you. Now with the age of AI, it's hard to even tell what's written by a real gardener and what's been generated by a machine.

The Gardening Nation Gazette lands in your mailbox once a month. Practical advice for real gardeners, in real gardens, in real climates. Written by people who know the difference between knowing what to plant and actually getting it in the ground. No content creators. No sponsored posts. No AI. Just gardening.

Real Gardening Nationals. Real mailboxes. Real paper.

Thousands of gardeners already
open this every month.

Every month it arrives in your physical mailbox. Real paper. Real ink. Real advice, tested by real gardeners before it ever reaches yours. Articles that take you somewhere. Every month

What arrives in your
mailbox every Gardening Nation issue.

Every issue is different. Every issue is a surprise. But here's what you can always expect inside.

🌿

Seasonal Gardening Guidance

A monthly guide to what to plant, prune, and prepare — so you always know what to do next. Written with your zone in mind, not a theoretical garden in a theoretical climate.

🔍

Problem Solving & How-To Advice

Step-by-step guidance plus expert help for common plant questions and tricky growing situations. Deer, pests, soil, disease — real solutions that real gardeners have actually tried.

🌱

Fascinating Plant Stories & Science

Plant science, surprising stories, and the why behind what works in the garden. The Aztec farmers who built floating gardens. The Victorian plant hunters who caught tropical fevers bringing a rhododendron home. These aren't filler — they're the pages our readers tell us they look forward to most.

✈️

Armchair Garden Travel

Explore remarkable gardens and gardening traditions from around the world — without leaving your chair. Monet's Giverny. The monastery gardens of medieval Europe. The floating gardens of ancient Mexico.

🎮

Humor, Games & Puzzles

Gardening-themed crosswords. Seed packet puzzles. The kind of thing that makes you smile before you head outside. Small, but they matter. The Gardening Nation Gazette is supposed to be a pleasure from first page to last.

💌

The Reader Pages

Letters from readers. Garden photos sent in from across the country. Real names, real plots, real problems solved and celebrated. This is what makes the Gardening Nation Gazette feel like a community of people who understand exactly what you're trying to do out there.

📖

An Exclusive Botanical Mystery

Follow our serialized cozy mystery, The Greenhouse on Thornwood Lane — plus a companion feature that connects the story to real plant knowledge. One more reason to look forward to the mailbox.

The Feeling

This is the one we can't quite put into words, but our readers can. It's the feeling of sitting somewhere you've planted things, with something worth reading in your hands. Of turning pages instead of scrolling. Of an hour that belongs entirely to you and your garden. That feeling is what the Gardening Nation Gazette is really for.

Sharing their Gazette experience

"

As a seasoned gardener, I wasn't sure how much new information I would learn from this paper...I LOVE it! The articles are well written, and the layout is really fun to read. In our digital age, it's almost comforting to hold paper in my hands. I can highlight, cut out articles and save what I need for future reference.

I love your Gardening Nation paper. The articles are very informative and there is a ton of information for those gardening in any way. I ordered a copy for my daughter as well and she is loving it.

Fun content and a nice departure from the current green industry publications. I have 2–3 other gardening related subscriptions, but this publication is fresh and entertaining — and not stuffed with ads.

A personal note from Brittany, Founder

I started The Kindness Company during one of the harder seasons of my life.

I was pregnant with my first daughter, and at the same time watching my mother disappear slowly to dementia. She was the woman who had taught me to crochet — sitting with me, guiding my hands, passing something down that her own mother had passed to her.

As her memory faded, I kept thinking about what would be lost with her. Not just her — but the traditions she carried. The things she knew how to do with her hands. The particular kind of love that gets passed through craft, from one person to the next, across generations.

I wanted to give my daughter something she could hold. Something tactile and real and worth keeping. Something that carried the same spirit my mother had given me — the joy of making, the comfort of soil and seeds and the slow satisfaction of watching something grow.

So I started with our first print newspaper — the Crochet Nation Gazette. And then our readers started writing to us. Crocheters who also gardened. Gardeners who said: is there one for us?

Gardening Nation is our answer.

Because gardening is one of the oldest, quietest forms of hope there is. You put something in the ground. You tend it. You wait. And if you're patient and a little lucky, something grows.

My mother taught me that the things we make with our hands are how we say I love you across time. I think gardens do the same thing.

I hope the Gardening Nation Gazette feels like that.

Questions

A few things people ask us.

Does the Gazette cover my gardening zone?

This is the question we get asked most. The answer is yes — here's how.

The Gardening Nation Gazette is written for gardeners across all of North America, from the coldest zones in the northern states and Canada to zone 11 in southern Florida and Hawaii. We know that what works in Georgia doesn't work in Michigan. Generic advice that ignores your climate is worse than no advice at all.

Every issue includes a Seasonal Almanac — a monthly growing guide with specific zone guidance built in. It tells you what to do this month based on where you actually live, not a theoretical garden in a theoretical climate. Our practical articles include zone context wherever it matters. We cover challenges specific to different regions: deer pressure in the northeast, drought tolerance in the southwest, heat and humidity in the south, short growing seasons in the north.

Not sure whether the Gazette is right for your zone? Email us at info@thekindnesscompany.com — we'll tell you honestly.

How long does delivery take?

We ship four times a month — on the 1st, 8th, 16th, and 24th. Once it's with USPS, delivery takes 3-5 business days depending on where you are. There is something about waiting for something good that makes it arrive better.

What if I don't like it?

Then you cancel. It takes thirty seconds and there are no fees, no penalties, and no passive-aggressive emails asking you to reconsider. You automatically receive a link you can use to cancel on your own after sign up, or just send us an email at info@thekindnesscompany.com. We would rather have readers who genuinely love the Gardening Nation Gazette than subscribers who feel stuck. That said — the people who think they might not like it are usually the ones who write to us three months later to say it's the best thing in their mailbox.

Is this for beginner gardeners or experienced ones?

Both. Some of our readers have been gardening for fifty years. Some just moved into their first house with a yard and don't know where to start. What they have in common is that they want practical advice that actually works, articles worth reading, and something that feels made with care. If you love gardening — or want to — you belong here.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide. Delivery times outside the US vary — please allow additional time. The Gazette is worth crossing an ocean for. Several of our readers have confirmed this.

Can I give this as a gift?

Absolutely — and it makes a remarkable one. A subscription to the Gardening Nation Gazette tells the gardener in your life that you see them, that you understand what they love, and that you wanted to give them something that would arrive again and again and make them happy every time. Simply enter the recipient's address at checkout.

What's inside each issue?

Seasonal growing guides written with your zone in mind. Practical problem-solving for real gardening challenges. Feature articles that take you somewhere. Reader letters and garden photos. Garden-themed games. 100% Gardening. No bad news. No politics. No ads. And the particular quiet pleasure of something printed on paper, made with real care. Every issue is different. Every issue is a surprise. That's part of the point.

Your mailbox has been
waiting for this.

You didn't know the Gardening Nation Gazette existed until recently. But part of you has been looking for it — the practical, no-nonsense thing that arrives in your hands once a month, written by people who actually garden, for people who actually garden.

This is it.
