It is an absolutely brilliant publication. As a history lover it is a joy to dig into different times and civilizations across the centuries. It is something to be savored.

I didn't know what to expect, but I like the newspaper format that I can pick up and read a couple articles between other activities, it's light enough to read in bed and the articles are well written and researched. They cover a variety of eras, area, topics, lots of conversation starters. Some of the picture are a little too small to really see the details of the what's being discussed. The puzzles are an added plus. Glad I subscribed.
Elizabeth C.
Don't ask me to review if I haven't received it yet
Eric M.
The stories are too obscure. Layout is too crowded. It needs more polish and curation.

I have always been a History buff, and I am also a nerd so I carry anything related to history on my Kindle , however I am also a Gen X that grew up with physical books and analog journals, and History Nation definitely took me back to that era. I am very satisfied with their attention to historic detail, the different historic era articles, and the paper itself. Highly recommended!
Noemi C.
I love the different topics that it offers. I recently got interested in history, being a Spanish major I usually learn about Latin American history so it was nice to read about other countries. I like the article of how in the la gomera in the Canary Islands, the guanche used whistling as a way to communicate from long distance in the mountains. I remember learning about Magna Carta in middle school but it was refreshing to review material that I have forgotten. I still haven’t finished this months paper because I’m a busy lady but I read it as a reward and when I have time, I always look forward to reading it. I can’t wait to receive the next one.
Casey H.
I learn a lot about things I never knew about. It’s a great fun read on a Saturday morning with some coffee!
Thomas P.

Got history nation for my boyfriend for Christmas of 2025 - he loves it! He can’t wait to receive it every month. He likes to read the articles and play the games. Keeps him off of his phone! This makes a great gift for any history buffs!
Lori T.
It’s just not what I expected.
ceredwyn h.
I read it over the phone to my brother and he agreed with me, that it was a great history resource. Thank you for putting it together.
abigail s.
So far I love this subscription!! It's such a simple, easy way that I have reduced phone time in the mornings, perfect with coffee.
The segments are short and informative, easily keeping attention.
My favorite part is the crossword on the back! It's such a fun way to pay attention and like a little study guide.
Gretchen W.

It rekindled my interest in learning things. Although I’m interested in more recent history, I realized I find ancient history more and more fascinating. I am looking forward to future issues. I commend you and your staff for a great job.

It felt a little childish, similar to a scholastic news. Fun, but not as informative as I was hoping.
Norman B.
Love the indepth information and explanation of terms I'm not familiar with.
Nicole W.
As a history lover, I highly recommend History Nation. The articles are informative and fun to read. The larger print is easy to read. I also love the puzzles included. It is great to see papers making a come back.
Alisa J M.
Very good layout of the paper. This is a gift to my son on law who is a history teacher.
roy g.
Here never got issue 1 and then got issues 2 and 3 in the same week. I think the post office in Chicago threw issue 1 away due to back logs due to storms. It has happened to me in the past when weather messes up deliveries. Complaining to post office does no good.
He loves the 2 issues he got.
Roy Gripp

william s.
Too many articles...stuff...included.
Samara H.
So fun and informative!
Marc R.
I have two suggestions. First, when an article has a foreign or unusual proper name or word, please consider adding the pronunciation. For example, the latest issue had the words "quipu" and "Quipucamaycos." Doing so may help readers better retain information in the article. Second, as a newspaper, you may wish to include articles related to significant upcoming anniversaries and commemorations, thus loosely tying them to what is going in today's real world. For example, the 100th anniversary (centennial) of Route 66 is November 2026. regards, Marc Romanych

I was a little skeptical about this but decided to try it. I’m sooooo glad I did. This is a fantastic piece of work and I already look forward to seeing and reading it every month. If you like and are looking to learn more about history you could do no better than this paper. Well worth the money!!
Linda T.

I am a Special Education teacher in Arizona, and I recently taught a reading lesson on The Rubber Balls of Mesoamerica. My students loved the colorful images in your paper—they were truly engaging. Thank you for sharing historical stories that are so often overlooked.
Jessie D.
I received issue 2 ( issue 1 hasn’t arrived yet) and it’s just amazing. Great articles and pictures. Very informative and well researched. And very entertaining crossword too. I’ll look forward to other issues. This was my Christmas present to myself
Ronnie B.
Love this. Love that I'm actually reading a newspaper, but its all about history at the same time! I'm a 90's kid. It takes me back. Look forward to more. Definitely worth it!
timothy f.
the feel of the newpaper in my hands is nostalgic and increases the pleasantness of the experience of learning about history. the articles are very good at putting things into context and even having little boxes to clarify what things in each article are about if you don't know or need a refresher. there are fun trivia and great recommendations of movies, books and games to continue to saturate the appetite for history. there is even a great historical fiction at the end.
Thank you to brittany and your crew!
Linda S.
Enjoyable publication
Linda K.
Not interested in the type of history you’re using. Not my thing.
Winston B.

..reading the various stories a/o articles brings back some memories of the different times, jobs, in life and really gets your mind working! I love them so far and believe I'll just enjoy even more with time.
Jessie T.
In the hustle bustle 24/7 world we live in... It is sometimes easy to get impatient with the USPS snail mail pace and think not much we receive is worthy of the wait. I was one who thought so about a startup historic newspaper.... Until I received and read their first issue. It is like spinning a globe and letting your finger drop on a random spot... or opening a dictionary and looking at a random word.... or being whisked off into a time ship and landing in multiple times and places.... Each page is a treat to the mind. I thank Kindness for the history to come and for teaching me somethings are worth the wait!!!!!!
Sandy C.
Great articles I may get more of your subscribtions
Rick B.
Really enjoyed relaxing with the first issue and looking forward to the next. Great selection of articles and learned some new things.
Darrell A.
I really like this history paper. The page with podcast recommendations and book recommendations is great! I really want to see articles about the Russo-Japanese War, the Russo-Turkish Wars, and other lesser known wars. See link below:

Joseph S.
One simple word to describe History Nation: FABULOUS!
Joseph P.
A perfectly wonderful little paper that touches on so many different pieces of history, with one main themed story.
I cannot relay how much I loved it. And, for the price of a coffee, why not?
Joseph G.
I loved the first one that I received, enjoyed the articles and puzzles. However I have not received any other issues. Can you check this for me?
Britt B.
Such a simple yet seemingly untouched market for history lovers! I love my first issue and can’t wait to see where it goes from here!
Marie H.
What a pleasant way to spend my Saturday morning... History Nation plus coffee plus Mozart equals a dandy way to spend a morning.
Dee R.
these are just amazing reads
Angeline F.
We found the history newspaper would be great for ages 10-14 years old, but too basic for adults. The issue had a "scholastic books" feel to it and the content was pretty basic. We expected more up to date archeological findings/discoveries. The history subjects covered are very basic subjects that any history buff would know about. We did enjoy the crossword puzzle. We cancelled because a yearly subscription to an archeological magazine is a better value for the money opposed to this newspaper that didn't have much "meat" to it.
Debby L.
Just not interested in it.
Deborah G.
I have not seen it but I was told my subscription to my spouse was enjoyed
Michael C.
I enjoy issue #1 but I'm interested in American and European history starting from the 1700's.

History Nation is a hidden gem. Even though I only read one issue so far, every story in the newspaper is well written and deep research. It has helped me to understand more about history and things I don’t know. I would recommend History Nation to my friends. Thank you
Charles K.
