The day your
Gardening Nation Gazette arrives.

Once a month, something lands in your mailbox that has nothing to do with bills, catalogs, or anything that needs a signature.

A real newspaper, printed on real paper. Made carefully, deliberately, and with genuine love — for gardeners like you.

"You take your paper outside, with a cup of something warm, and you sit in your favorite chair in the garden. A cup of something warm. For the next 30 minutes, there are no notifications. Instead of an algorithm, politics, bad news and endless ads,

there's 24 beautifully printed pages filled with gardening articles, practical advice, growing guides, and stories written by people who actually garden."

That's the Gardening Nation Gazette, delivered to your door every month.

✦   From a Gardening National   ✦

"So far I am loving the paper. It feels so nice to sit with my cup of tea in the morning looking at a paper of things I love: plants, gardens, and news about them both. Then I get to make notes for things to try on my own gardening adventure."

Sound familiar?

You love gardening,
but the internet has made it
harder to enjoy.

One morning you notice that your tomatoes aren't producing, so you open your phone to find out why. Forty minutes later you've watched six YouTube videos with conflicting advice, you've read three articles written by people who have clearly never anything, and you still don't know what's wrong with your tomatoes!

47
Tabs open, none of which have solved the problem in your garden. The internet has more gardening content than you could read in ten lifetimes, and most of it isn't for you. It's for people with different budgets, perfect soil, and no deer!

The advice doesn't mention your zone, the gardens in the photos are nothing like your own, and the plants recommended aren't available anywhere near you. Now with the age of AI, it's hard to even tell what's written by a real gardener and what's been generated by a computer.

The Gardening Nation Gazette provides practical advice from passionate gardeners, in real gardens, for a variety of climates and budgets. Written by people who understand the difference between knowing what to plant and actually getting it in the ground.

Sharing their Gazette experience

"

As a seasoned gardener, I wasn't sure how much new information I would learn from this paper...I LOVE it! The articles are well written, and the layout is really fun to read. In our digital age, it's almost comforting to hold paper in my hands. I can highlight, cut out articles and save what I need for future reference.

Such a fun newspaper. Loved the various gardening articles, and garden-themed games and puzzles. I also appreciate that it kept us warmer zone gardeners in mind. So happy with Gardening Nation!

I love your Gardening Nation paper. The articles are very informative and there is a ton of information for those gardening in any way. I ordered a copy for my daughter as well and she is loving it.

Fun content and a nice departure from the current green industry publications. I have 2–3 other gardening related subscriptions, but this publication is fresh and entertaining — and not stuffed with ads.

A personal note from Brittany, Founder

I started The Kindness Company during one of the harder seasons of my life.

I was pregnant with my first daughter, and at the same time watching my mother disappear slowly to dementia. She was the woman who had taught me to crochet; sitting with me, guiding my hands, passing something down that her own mother had passed to her.

As her memory faded, I kept thinking about what would be lost with her. Not just her but the traditions she carried. The things she knew how to do with her hands. The particular kind of love that gets passed through craft, from one person to the next, across generations.

I wanted to give my daughter something she could hold. Something tactile and real and worth keeping. Something that carried the same spirit my mother had given me: the joy of making, the comfort of soil and seeds and the slow satisfaction of watching something grow.

So I started with our first print newspaper, the Crochet Nation Gazette. And then our readers started writing to us. Crocheters who also gardened. Gardeners who said: is there one for us?

Gardening Nation is our answer.

Because gardening is one of the oldest, quietest forms of hope there is. You put something in the ground. You tend it. You wait. And if you're patient and a little lucky, something grows.

My mother taught me that the things we make with our hands are how we say I love you across time. I think gardens do the same thing.

I hope the Gardening Nation Gazette feels like that.

Questions

A few things people ask us.

Does the Gazette cover my gardening zone?

This is the question we get asked most. The answer is yes and here's how.

The Gardening Nation Gazette is written for gardeners across all of North America, from the coldest zones in the northern states and Canada to zone 11 in southern Florida and Hawaii. We know that what works in Georgia doesn't work in Michigan, and we always try to ensure our advice applies to all of our readers.

In order to do this, every issue includes a Seasonal Almanac, which is a monthly growing guide with specific zone guidance built in. It tells you what to do this month based on where you actually live, not a theoretical garden in a theoretical climate. Our practical articles include zone context wherever it matters. We cover challenges specific to different regions: deer pressure in the northeast, drought tolerance in the southwest, heat and humidity in the south, short growing seasons in the north.

Not sure whether the Gazette is right for your zone? Email us at info@thekindnesscompany.com, and we'll tell you honestly.

How long does delivery take?

We ship four times a month — on the 1st, 8th, 16th, and 24th. Once it's with USPS, delivery takes 3-5 business days depending on where you are (overseas shipping may take a little longer). But there is something about patiently waiting, knowing that your issue is on its way, that makes it arrive better.

What if I don't like it?

Then you can cancel anytime. It's easy to do, and our team is always on hand to help. Upon sign-up, you automatically receive a link that allows you to manage your online account, including subscription cancellations. Alternatively, you can email the Kindness team at info@thekindnesscompany.com. We would rather have readers who genuinely love the Gardening Nation Gazette than subscribers who feel stuck. That said, the people who think they might not like it are usually the ones who write to us three months later to say it's the best thing in their mailbox.

Is this for beginner gardeners or experienced ones?

Both. Some of our readers have been gardening for fifty years, whereas others have just moved into their first house with a yard and don't know where to start. What all our readers have in common is that they want practical advice, articles worth reading, and something that's been made with care. If you love gardening, or want to, you belong here.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Delivery times outside the US do vary, so please allow for additional time. However, we think the Gazette is worth waiting for, and several of our readers have confirmed this.

Can I give this as a gift?

Absolutely, and it makes a fantastic one. A subscription to the Gardening Nation Gazette tells the gardener in your life that you see them, that you understand what they love, and that you wanted to give them something that would arrive again and again, putting a smile on their face every time. Simply enter the recipient's address at checkout, but remember to use your own for the billing address.

What's inside each issue?

In each issue, you can expect practical problem-solving for real gardening challenges, alongside feature articles that take you somewhere. We spotlight readers' projects and photos of their gardens, and sometimes feature reader letters. We even have seasonal growing guides written with your zone in mind. And how could we resist garden-themed games! There's no bad news, no politics, and no ads. Every issue is different and we love surprising our readers.

Your mailbox has been
waiting for this.

You didn't know the Gardening Nation Gazette existed until recently, but maybe part of you has been looking for it. The practical, dependable treat that arrives at your door once a month, written by experienced gardners, for people who love to garden.

This is it.
